5 quarts water

2 lemons, halved

2 onions, quartered

1 head of garlic

1/2 cup seafood seasoning

3 thyme sprigs, tied with kitchen twine

1 pound Black Gold Farms small red potatoes

3 ears of corn, snapped in half

1 1/2 pounds shrimp, deveined (or crawfish)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Seafood seasoning

Preparation

Take a large pot and add five quarts of water. Heat at medium-high. Squeeze lemons into the water and throw in the lemon halves. Then add onion, garlic, seafood seasoning and thyme sprigs. Cover the pot and let it boil.

Once the pot has boiled, reduce the heat and let simmer for five minutes. Add red potatoes and corn and cook for 15 minutes or until tender, then add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Transfer the shrimp and vegetables to a bowl with the butter and 1 cup of broth from pot. Toss to coat evenly until butter is melted.

Serve on platter with lemon wedges and sprinkle with seafood seasoning.
