We farm for our future.

It all started with Ten Acres.

Farming looked a lot different in 1928 when A.E. Halverson planted the first 10 acres of potatoes that would eventually turn into Black Gold Farms. Through several generations, Black Gold Farms has shown adaptability and resilience transitioning from a single-site Black Angus cattle operation and farm to an integrated supply chain partner with multiple growing locations throughout the US.

Black Gold Farms has built a proud legacy over 4 generations, now producing nearly a billion pounds of potatoes and sweet potatoes annually. Our growth is a testament to the strong relationships we've cultivated within the communities we serve. With the fifth generation preparing to join the family business, we remain committed to our farming heritage and our sustainable farming practices.

We have a history of finding opportunities from obstacles.
